Ewell Pest Control is a professional business specializing in a broad range of pest control services, including a retail outlet for do-it-yourself pest control products.


The company was founded in 1963 by Preston Ewell as a part-time venture and operated from his home in the Norfolk Highlands area of Chesapeake. In 1971, Orren Hinson assumed leadership and operated the business full time, expanding to all of Tidewater, VA.


In February of 1988, Mr. Hinson retired after more than 15 years and the current third generation began. Kevin F. Delaney continues the growth and success of Ewell Pest Control. As a certified entomologist, Mr. Delaney inserts a high quality of service in the control of pests in southeastern Virginia.


In 1989, Ewell Pest Control acquired After Hours Exterminating; in 1996, Arion’s A-Plus Termite Control; in 1999, A-AA Pest Management, one of the area’s most respected firms; and in 2000, The Bug Lady. During this time, Ewell Pest Control has also added other services to the traditional termite and pest control line such as lawn, tree and shrub spraying, moisture control, and nuisance wildlife animal control, to name just a few.


Through dedicated employees, Ewell Pest Control will continue to be the finest medium-sized pest company in the region, poised for growth and expansion for many years to come.
